USS Calabash (SP-108) : ウィキペディア英語版
USS Calabash (SP-108)

USS ''Calabash'' (SP-108) was an armed motorboat that served in the United States Navy as a patrol vessel in 1917.

''Calabash'' was built as a civilian motorboat in 1912 by Mathis Shipbuilding Company at Camden, New Jersey. She was the property of a resident of Coconut Grove, Florida, when the U.S. Navy acquired her on 25 July 1917 for use as a patrol boat during World War I. She was commissioned the same day as USS ''Calabash'' (SP-108).
Apparently found unsuitable for naval service, ''Calabash'' served for less than a month before being decommissioned and returned to her owner in August 1917.
